Little Sky is a collection of small drawings and paintings of the sun and the sky reflected in water by artist Bruna Massadas on view at Good Luck Gallery. One of the artist's most vivid dreams as a child was of two suns setting on a lake where she used to go on vacation in Rio de Janeiro. In the dream, there was no land––just sun, water, and light. Massadas has been painting versions of this moment again and again for a few years now, using the same natural elements as symbols for expressing experiences, emotions, and illusions. In Little Sky , Massadas gives the viewer just a little bit of Montana’s big sky: the horizon line is high on each surface and the sky is mostly captured as a portrait of the sun in the water.

BRUNA MASSADAS (b. 1985, Brazil) is a Montana-based painter. From 2018–2021 Massadas exhibited with Binder of Women, and from 2016–2018 she was a member of CTRL+SHFT collective. Recently her work has been exhibited at The Pit (Los Angeles), Bozomag (Los Angeles), My Pet Ram (New York), and Gallery 16 (San Francisco). She also exhibited in two-person shows with Raymie Iadevaia (2022, Bozomag) and Daniel Gibson (2017, Some.Time.Salon). Massadas earned her BFA at California State University, Fullerton (2009) and MFA at California College of the Arts, San Francisco, California (2012). In 2025, she was awarded a Creative West Grant; she had a solo exhibition at de boer Gallery (Los Angeles) and McClain Gallery (Houston). Massadas is the founder of Second Nature Gallery in Bozeman, Montana, instructor at MSU Bozeman, and is represented by McClain Gallery.
